Mr. De la Maza specializes in corporate, financial and general business matters, providing legal assistance to various companies and family offices. Mr. De la Maza also represents various clients in civil and arbitral proceedings and in complex negotiations for conflict resolution.
EXPERIENCE
He worked for six years in a prestigious firm, advising financial institutions, investors, family wealth managers, and domestic and foreign companies, in the ordinary course of their business and also in conflicts and strategic transactions.
Previously, he worked for several years as an attorney at the Securities’ area of the Superintendence of Securities and Insurance (Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros) participating in the monitoring of various types of brokers and fund managers, the investigation of normative defaults and other matters.
He also represented the Superintendence before the Court of Appeals and other courts, in financial and regulatory matters.

Mr. De La Maza has been referred for three consecutive years by the British guide Chambers and Partners as a leading attorney in Corporate / M & A.
He served for six years as a Capital Markets professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universidad Diego Portales. In addition to teaching, he has guided several thesis on financial issues.
He has published columns in various local journals and newspapers, as well as articles in Global Securitization Guide, Latin Lawyer and International Investor.
